Nelson Academy

Installation of a 50,000-square-foot all-weather field over a new drainage system. New retaining walls and landscaping were also added, and improvements were made to the existing courtyard.

Built to accommodate 850 students in grades six through eight, Jessie Elwin Nelson Academy is the first school built from the ground up with Measure K funds. The school features 31 classrooms, administration offices, a library/media center, gymnasium, health office, serving kitchen, multipurpose room and other support facilities. Outdoor facilities include a soccer field, five basketball courts and an open quad area with hardscape and landscape areas.
