Polytechnic High School is set to undergo a significant transformation beginning in the 2024-25 school year and conclude by summer 2031. During this period, select sports programs will be relocated, interim housing will be provided on campus, and meal service will continue uninterrupted. These measures ensure minimal disruption while we work towards bringing state-of-the-art facilities and modern learning environments to our campus, enhancing the educational experience for all our students. So, what can you expect from this ambitious transformation project?
New Three-Story Classroom Building
The first phase of construction will see the development of a new, three-story classroom building. This facility will feature a cutting-edge simulation lab for the school’s medical pathway, along with other immersive learning spaces designed to support innovative teaching methods. During the construction period, this building will also serve as interim student housing as we update existing structures with new air conditioning, technology upgrades, and important accessibility and seismic improvements.
Leading-Edge Academic Facilities and Collaborative Outdoor Spaces
Following the initial construction, several leading-edge academic facilities will be added in subsequent years. These new buildings will provide advanced resources and environments to support our students' academic growth. Additionally, we will be introducing outdoor spaces designed for collaborative learning, offering students and staff new opportunities for interaction and engagement.
New Athletic Facilities
Recognizing the importance of athletics to our school community, the transformation project includes the development of new athletic facilities. These will support our champion sports teams and provide top-tier amenities for our student-athletes.
Community-Driven Planning
The school's renovations have been carefully planned with input from students, parents, staff, and community members. This collaborative approach ensures that the new facilities will meet the needs and expectations of our entire school community.
